118d Judge Dredd Land Rover

The 101 Forward Control or Land Rover 101FC was a armoured fighting vehicle produced by Land Rover for the British Army. It was never made available to the public.

My rendition of the Land Rover 1 tonne as seen in the Sylvester Stallone film of the graphic comic hero.  Originally this was going to be an alternate body in the 1tonne range, but there was so much that was replaced I decided to make it a model in its own right. Released to compliment the opening in 2021 of the Judge Dredd attraction in the UK.

The 101 as seen in Judge Dredd

Thirty-one 101s were converted by Land Rover with artistically styled bodyshells for the 1995 Sylvester Stallone film Judge DreddLand Rover is supposedly the world’s only surviving vehicle manufacturer in 2139 when the film is set, and the green oval logo can be seen on the side of the vehicles, known as “City CABs”.[3] Several of these prop vehicles still exist in driveable condition and are often seen at Land Rover events

The vehicle appears in various guises in the film, the most common being the yellow City Cab taxi, others are in silver, red, white and blue.

I like Uhu glue for assembly. Dennis prefers plastic weld.
