Review Land Rover Laird Centaur Ambulance Conversion (1/35)
After the softtop version I have now also built the Centaur Ambulance. The donor kit was again an Italeri 6508 Land Rover 109′ LWB kit; radiator grille and bonnet were also copied again with Greenstuff and epoxy putty from a Hobby Boss Defender. Joining the Land Rover front with the massive Ambulace rear body and building the track drive went just as well as with the soft top version- I only had a few minor difficulties fitting the doors: In order for the windscreen to be aligned with the upper part of the box body and the doors to fit flush, I had to shorten the door width by 1.5 mm.
By the way, the same box body was also used for a mobile command post conversion which you can easily build with this kit and some aerial bases from third-party modelling suppliers. Kai Klutterman.
